The par 5 “Home” hole of the Kintyre is a dog-leg left laden with 11 bunkers. The tee shot should be hit down the left half of the fairway to avoid the bunkers on the right-hand side, and a good second shot is required to avoid one of the remaining bunkers. The green has many subtle slopes and can throw approach shots off to either side, leaving an awkward chip shot or putt for those lucky enough to hold the putting surface. This tricky finishing hole is a fitting end to the round.
